This Surface Mount Ceiling Frame is perfect to mount our LEDPanelStore LED Panel Lights in locations without suspended ceiling grid (e.g. plasterboard ceilings) . Surface mount kits are ideal for offices, schools, hospitals etc. where recessed mounting is not possible.
The kit screws to the ceiling. The panel is then slid in, and the remaining side then screws on to complete the installation.
The frame has sufficient depth to accommodate the LED driver / emergency pack. (these should be placed in the centre of the panel to allow good heat dissipation)

- First item arrived buckled and damaged so could not be fitted, my replacement arrived within 48hrs. The item looks great now fixed to ceiling with the led panel. The fitting instructions were very vague and I created more holes for fixing it to the ceiling as the pre set fixing holes are enough in my opinion. - I fitted 2 1200 X 300 panels with surface mount kits as replacements for 2 4ft twin tube fluorescent fittings, a bit of a learning curve with the first one but the second went up easily, the quality of the light is a vast improvement on the fluorescent lights. - The mounting kit is thick and could be made more elegant. The room being fitted with the 1200X300mm panel was too small to allow the panel to be slid in from one end; I needed to 1, screw the fully assembled (empty) frame to the ceiling, 2, then remove both ends, 3, on one side only loosen one fastening screw and remove the second screw from the ceiling (this allows the side of the mounting kit to hinge), 4, offer up the panel and hold firmly into the fixed side whilst hinging the closed and replace screw 5, tighten the loosened screw connect power lead, replace the two ends of the mounting bracket.
